I would of given a 5 star review as previous staff in past years have been so helpful and excelled in customer service.A beautiful cinema close to great places. However I don't appreciate getting a " Nah mate" from the staff member last week.
Please get this person retrained in customer service and etiquette.
I felt like I was out in the bush the way this person with short blonde hair spoke .
I am a highly educated person and believe any customer deserves better than " Nah Mate"
I rated this cinema and staff highly prior.
Please remove this staff member
Country people would speak better than this ???
Appauled.
A very good cinema. Great sound, clean and spacious seats, with food and drinks available just at the entrance. Very good qualities of movies too.
This was the WORST experience for myself and my 5 year old son ( his first movie ) we were abused by a fellow Dendy staff member because my son was drinking too loudly out of his plastic water bottle. The cinema was empty and we were the only 4 people in there but he decided to sit in front of us. He then said " the water bottle is still an issue for me - he better be quiet " I asked the man to not make my son cry and within minutes the " manager " came in and abused me and took his fellow staff member outside for a chat. I am so horrified and upset at how we were treated. I've spent $80 on tickets and food to have to leave the movie 30 minutes early with an emotional 5 year old boy who now thinks it's unacceptable to drink water in a cinema.
There were a lot of other comments made by this staff member and manager. I will be taking this further.
A great theatre with smaller, more intimate sized cinema viewing. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I left after seeing a movie and the staff bid me "a safe drive" as it had been raining heavily and the roads might be a bit treacherous. They were SO sweet I didn't have the heart to tell them I only lived 5 mins away and had walked. Thanks Dendy Portside!
Great value if you are a member and watch on Mondays. This is how we watch new release movies if you can wait the following week. Cinemas in general are small to mdedium size. Cleanliness is not bad. Of the many times we've been here we bought popcorn once, hoping it be freshly popped, but it was pretty stale on a busy night for Indiana Jones 5.
Will never be back as they will not except cash and they think that by displaying a sign somewhere in the premises regarding this is fair and reasonable. Its a little late to be told at the counter that cash is not excepted, not good enough, very bad decision and I will never step foot in your theatre again.
A great Cinema. I went to see Indiana Jones & the Dial of Destiny. Helpful staff. No queuing. Big screens & the place is very clean. As well as comfy seats with plenty of leg room. I would recommend this place to go & watch a film.
Dendy Portside is the rudest cinema I've ever been to in my entire life. Some female staff: never smile, are gruff, impatient and rude. When Brisbane flooded, I had a Special Screening ticket pre-booked and couldn't get across there, because KSD was underwater. Mgr acted like it was NOTHING , when the whole city was underwater! π€¬Had to really BEG the Mgr for a ticket replacement! βοΈπ
Then when I came to see another Special screening on EASTER SUNDAY, my fee ticket wouldn't be honoured! I had to really fight. I waited 10 mins to be served and then they served others before me. When I protested, I got yelled at. βοΈπβοΈπ When I asked to see Mgr in tears, with male and female witnesses who tried to console me, I said afterwards: "I'm never coming back to this cinema" and I'm a local, she said: "Fine." Charming response!
And this is a so-called"MANAGER! " Unfit to be OFCOURSE, needs the sack. Absolutely DISGACEFUL, SHAMEFUL, disrespecful, rude, horrific response. No manners, go back to customer service training school. Thankyou for RUINING my Easter Sunday. βοΈπβοΈπβοΈπWhat a time to be rude to a person. Act like a HUMAN BEING. πΏ
Customer service standards NO LONGER EXIST.... I've seen this across Brisbane. But ESPECIALLY here, rude snobs. Girl was very rude the other day too. Only come, if you have a bankcard. No π΅ DON'T COME HERE, never coming back. πβοΈπβοΈπβοΈπ€¬
